Rarus Seller Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating a seller account on sell.rarus.at, you agree to these Terms of Service.

These Terms govern your use of the Rarus Seller Portal and your relationship with Rarus as a seller.

2. Seller Account

You must provide complete, accurate, and up-to-date information when creating your account.

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity carried out through your account.

Rarus reserves the right to approve, reject, suspend, or restrict seller accounts at its sole discretion.

3. Listings and Inventory

  • You may list sneakers, clothing, collectibles, accessories, and other approved products through the Rarus Seller Portal.
  • All listed products must be authentic, accurately described, and unworn unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • You are responsible for checking each product for the correct model, SKU, size, condition, accessories, quality-control issues, and possible defects before confirming a deal.
  • Every product offered for sale must be physically in your possession at the time the deal is confirmed.
  • If you are unsure whether a product will pass our checks, you may contact us before confirming the deal.
  • You are responsible for keeping your inventory and availability accurate, whether managed manually or through Google Sheets synchronization.
  • Products that are no longer available must be removed or marked as unavailable without delay.
  • Rarus reserves the right to edit, deactivate, or remove listings that are inaccurate or violate our policies.
  • You may set your preferred payout or price. Rarus may submit counteroffers or recommend price adjustments.

4. Deals

  • Once a deal has been accepted and confirmed, it is binding and can no longer be cancelled by the seller.
  • Before confirming a deal, you must ensure that the correct product is available and that it meets all applicable condition requirements.
  • Repeated cancellations or failure to complete confirmed deals may result in permanent suspension from the platform.
  • Products sold through a regular deal must generally be shipped within two business days.
  • Products sold through online consignment must generally be shipped within one business day.

5. Shipping

  • You must ship the product within the timeframe specified in the relevant deal after receiving the shipping label.
  • If you are unable to meet the required shipping deadline, you must inform Rarus before confirming the deal.
  • If the shipping label has not received its first carrier scan within the required timeframe, Rarus reserves the right to cancel the deal.
  • Products must be packed securely while keeping the package as compact as reasonably possible.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that the parcel details, weight, dimensions, and shipping information are correct.
  • Additional shipping costs caused by incorrect information, unsuitable packaging, or other errors on your part may be deducted from your payout.
  • If an order is shipped in multiple parcels, you must inform us which products are included in each parcel.
  • Whenever possible, sellers should arrange carrier pickup from their address rather than using a drop-off location.
  • Rarus is not responsible for additional costs charged by the carrier, including pickup fees.

6. Authentication and Rejected Products

  • All products sold through Rarus are inspected and authenticated after arrival.
  • Products may be rejected if they are inauthentic, incorrect, damaged, incomplete, used, defective, or otherwise inconsistent with the confirmed deal.
  • For rejected or incorrectly supplied products, the cost of the original shipping label will be charged to the seller. For a single-pair shipment, this is typically approximately €12 plus VAT.
  • If you would like a rejected product returned, you are responsible for the return shipping costs. Payment for the return shipment must be completed within two weeks after receiving the relevant notification.
  • If a rejected product is authentic and otherwise suitable for sale, Rarus may offer the option to list it through consignment instead.
  • Repeated authentication failures, incorrect shipments, or condition issues may result in account suspension or termination.

7. Payouts and Fees

  • Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payouts are processed after the product has arrived and successfully passed authentication.
  • Payments are usually processed within one business day after successful authentication.
  • During busy periods, or depending on the product category or model, authentication and payout processing may take an additional one to three business days.
  • Payments are sent to the IBAN registered in your seller account.
  • Commission rates and other applicable fees are agreed during onboarding and may vary depending on the product category, seller type, or selling model.
  • Business sellers must upload a valid invoice before payment can be processed.
  • You are responsible for providing correct payment, billing, and tax information.
  • You are solely responsible for declaring your income and paying any applicable taxes, duties, or other charges.

8. Returns and Disputes

Rarus manages all communication with buyers regarding cancellations, returns, complaints, and disputes.

Sellers must cooperate with Rarus and provide any information or documentation reasonably required to resolve a buyer-related issue.

9. Consignment

Consignment access is available only to approved sellers.

Depending on the agreed consignment model, products may either:

  • be shipped to Rarus in advance and stored until sold, or
  • remain with the seller until a customer places an order.

Sellers may manage their active listings, availability, and prices through the Seller Portal.

Once a product has been sold, the applicable shipping, authentication, and payout process begins.

Rarus may handle product storage, online listing, customer communication, fulfillment, and payment processing, depending on the selected consignment model.

10. Dropshipping

Dropshipping is available by invitation only to selected and trusted sellers.

Approved dropshipping sellers ship products directly from their own warehouse to the customer.

Dropshipping sellers are responsible for:

  • maintaining accurate stock information,
  • keeping Google Sheets or manually managed inventory up to date,
  • meeting all shipping deadlines,
  • using suitable packaging,
  • and ensuring that every product meets Rarus quality and authenticity requirements.

11. Google Sheets Integration

The Google Sheets inventory synchronization feature is provided as a convenience.

Rarus may read and process information from the connected spreadsheet according to the selected synchronization settings.

You are responsible for ensuring that all information contained in the spreadsheet is accurate, complete, and up to date.

Rarus is not responsible for incorrect listings, stock levels, prices, or availability caused by errors, missing information, formatting issues, or outdated data in the connected spreadsheet.

You may disconnect the integration at any time. Disconnecting the integration does not automatically affect already confirmed deals.

12. Account Suspension and Termination

You may request the closure of your seller account at any time by contacting us.

Any outstanding and undisputed payouts will be processed before the account is closed.

Rarus reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate an account if the seller:

  • violates these Terms,
  • provides false or misleading information,
  • repeatedly cancels confirmed deals,
  • fails to meet shipping deadlines,
  • repeatedly submits incorrect or inauthentic products,
  • engages in fraudulent or abusive conduct,
  • or otherwise causes harm to Rarus, its customers, or other sellers.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Rarus shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profit, revenue, business opportunities, or data.

To the extent permitted by law, the total liability of Rarus arising from or relating to these Terms shall be limited to the commission fees paid by the seller to Rarus during the twelve months preceding the relevant claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Austrian law.

To the extent legally permissible, disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the competent courts in Vienna, Austria.
